June Calender Made 50 Selvage Cards

We've been keeping an eye on June Calender of New York City as she has been feverishly making selvage postcards. A few weeks ago, she just decided that 50 is enough for now, and she's moving on to other things. Like taking a trip to Africa! It was on her "bucket list." My guess is that June would definitely sit in the Onion Chair.

Before she goes on her trip, she will seriously clean her living quarters so it's "ship-shape" when she returns. What an interesting concept. Visit her blog at: www.calenderpages.blogspot.com.

June Calender's Selvage Postcards

June Calender of NYC is on a selvage postcard-making binge! Take a look at these fairy tale theme prints surrounded by selvages (in a modified courthouse steps arrangement). What a fun idea.

See June's blog to read more about her project: www.calenderpages.blogspot.com.

June Calender's Selvage Jacket!

Take a look at June Calender's selvage jacket in progress. She started with an over-sized sweatshirt. Then she proceeded to cut the ribbing off the cuffs, neck, and the bottom edge. Finally, she cut up the front to make it a "cardigan," and cut up the sides and along the sleeve seams so she could easily add the selvages. To get the whole story from June, see her blog at: http://www.calenderpages.blogspot.com/. She describes it to you step by step.

I sure hope we get to see June modeling this fancy jacket at our next Empire Quilt Guild meeting. We meet at the Fashion Institute; how appropriate is that?
