Brookside Quiltworks Exhibits my Quilts!

Brookside Quiltworks in South Egremont, Massachusetts is exhibiting 25 of my quilts until the end of August. There are downloadable patterns available for many of the quilts. Many quilts are available for sale too. This quilt shop offers 2,800 bolts of gorgeous fabric, plus tools, books, patterns, longarm quilting services, and lessons...That must be why they call it "Quiltworks," they have the works!

L to R: Fandango, Blue Lagoon, and a Gee's Bend-style Retro Christmas quilt.

Winding Trails (center), and my sister Eileen Lovett's green Hummingbird quilt (draped on the table) which was the featured quilt for March in Curated Quilts' 2019 Calendar.

This Bourgoing Surrounded quilt made from silk dupioni, includes buttons, beads and hand embroidery.

Welcome to the Fall Festival Quilt Exhibit

Yesterday I had the great honor to exhibit 35 of my quilts at my church, the First Congregational Church in Litchfield, CT during the Fall Festival. There were many quilters and non-quilters who visited and I had the best time hosting this event. Thank you to all my blog buddies who were able to attend. For everyone else, here is a virtual tour via photos.

Early Peek at the Fall Festival Quilts

Yesterday I arranged 35 of my quilts along the balcony at church in preparation for the Fall Festival Quilt Exhibit today. It looks so colorful and pretty. Here's a sneak peek above. I hope the hymnals keep the quilts from falling onto the viewers. I'll let you know how it goes.

I made this quilt in memory of my two wonderful grandmothers. It has a pearl necklace, lots of vintage buttons, giant rick rack, fans, roses, and teacups with real tea tags attached.

The Fall Festival is today 9 am-3 pm at the First Congregational Church, Litchfield, CT, located in the center of town on the green. All are welcome.

Exhibit Your House Quilt in Pennsylvania!

Illustration: Above quilt block by Christine of Auntie's Quaint Quilts - Tasmania, Australia.
The Charm Girls Quilters want to exhibit your house quilt in an elegant Quilt Show to benefit the Pearl S. Buck International House in Perkasie, PA in April 2010. (We are 6 quilting buddies who have been together for 5 years. This will be our second show.)
.
Any way that you interpret the “House” theme is fair game! Are you thinking of a fixer-upper or a mansion? A hen house, fun house, gingerbread house, housework, or a fire house? Surprise us. There will be a Grand Prize chosen by the staff of the Pearl S. Buck House, and Viewer's Choice Awards.
.
Finished quilts must be no larger than 36” square, and no smaller than 20” square. The rest us up to you.
.
Please tell Helen Wolf (asap) if you will be contributing a quilt: charmgirls@comcast.net. Your quilt must arrive in PA by March 31, 2010. All quilts will be returned, or if you choose, donated to a silent auction to benefit the Pearl S. Buck International House. There is a submission fee of $10 for quilters in the US. If you live outside the US (or in Alaska or Hawaii) there is no fee since you will have extra shipping expenses. Helen has all the info.
.
Also email a photo for exhibit on the Selvage Blog. Have fun!
.
"Buenos noches!" to all our visitors from Spain today.
