Valentine's Day Eye Candy

Here are some fabulous red quilts for you to enjoy on Valentine's Day. Have a great one!

This amazing "Vortex" quilt from 1900 by an unidentified quilter is part of a huge exhibit of red and white quilts starting March 25th arranged by the American Folk Art Museum. I plan to be there, so if they allow photos at the exhibit, I'll show you a bunch.

The quilt above is "Red Lightning" by Nifty Quilts, one of my favorite quilt bloggers.

This quilt is "Symphony in Red" by Mike470 from The Quilt Show.

The quilt above is from Crazy Baby Quilts. A baby quilt?

This colorful quilt is by Leslie J. Riley. It looks like it would be fun to make one of these.

Eye catching quilts for sure! Love the cut work one by the unidentified quiltmaker. Wow. The heart glasses remind of of the cutest photo of have of my daughter when she was tiny...wearing white heart shaped sun glasses. Happy Valentine's Day.

Thank you for sharing these today! Each one is so different and unique from all the rest, but full of lovely, vibrant reds. That first one makes me feel a little giddy!

All very wonderful! (But the one image is a painting by Matisse, not a baby quilt.) :D

I know it's a painting, but I thought it might be one of the new fabrics based on famous paintings. :)

Who would have guessed someone would make a vortex quilt in the early 1900's. She was way ahead of her time.
Love your choices of Valentine/ red quilts. All are inspirational.
