Largest Selvage Quilt in the World? From NZ

This amazing selvage quilt is the creation of Debbie Pettinger of New Zealand. It measures 84" x 84!" Can you imagine? This may be the largest selvage quilt in the world. If you know of a bigger one, let us know.

Her quilting friends helped her gather this bounty, and she still has selvages left over to start her next project. I love the light touch of color she added to this multitude of selvages. Yayyy, Debbie!

What a spectacular quilt Debbie's created. I wonder how long it took her to collect so many selvages?

That's incredible! I wonder if she pieced it on a foundation. That would weigh a ton. The block is great. I love the wide strip of color to create the squares.

I wonder how long it took her to save up all those selvages even with help from her friends.

It's great to see such a wonderful project - I'm another Kiwi calling in. Has Debbie got a blog, do you know?

That is amazing! The larger solid-color strips really help unify the design and the grouping of the selvages into color families also helps tie it all together. Wow!
