Becci's Dresden Plate Selvage Creation

Vivian's friend Becci (both from northern Iowa) recently created this amazing Dresden Plate selvage table-topper. Isn't this incredible? She adapted Kay Buffington's pattern "Dresden Plate Candle Mat" to included selvages and made it larger, 20" in diameter. Vivian says that Becci is a prolific quilter known for adding selvages to many of her projects, even when it's her turn to work on a Round Robin quilt. Haha! I'd love to have Becci work on my Round Robin any day! Great job!

What a great idea! I like the idea of making this larger and using it as a Christmas Tree skirt! Thanks so much for sharing this very innovative idea.

I'm going to predict that sooner rather than later, Becci will indeed make a Christmas tree skirt. Fantastic idea, Riel!
Maybe I'll make one for a daughter who keeps saving selvages for me.
This is such a wonderful place for unique inspiration, Karen.

Such a delight!! And some people still use selvages only for tieing stuff together.
