Christmas Tree Skirt from Neckties


This Christmas tree skirt is from Chicago Lost and Found. It was made from up-cycled neckties. They are for sale for $1,200 and some of the proceeds go to educational outreach. You can read more on the website. That striped binding looks beautiful, but I bet it's pretty tricky to sew!

Those are gorgeous! The price tag is more than my budget will bear, even for such a good cause, but oh, how I wish it wasn't! Thank you for sharing this amazingly beautiful piece of art.

That's so pretty! My husband never had any ties that looked like those. I kept his ties for years and years, thinking I would make something with them. They finally went to a friend who immediately made a very clever purse with them. "... another man's treasure."
