A Bucolic Setting in Bucks County, PA

I love how these selvage quilts look, photographed on the lovely grounds of Fonthill Museum in Bucks County, PA.

These quilts (and patterns) are included in the book "Quilts from the Selvage Edge." The quilt on the far right, "Surprise" is the first selvage quilt I ever made. Originally I planned to make only the center rectangle and bind it. But then I saw how to make half-square triangles, and decided to make the sawtooth border. That was the "Surprise," the "Ah-ha!" moment that led to many more quilts! That was in May 2005, and I'm still hooked.
