Jen Duncan had to have a selvage quilt yesterday! (She was in a hurry.) So necessity being the mother of invention, she came up with some ways to make a lightning-fast Blue Zinger! Take a look at the photos on her blog: http://www.jenduncan.typepad.com/ Her post is dated May 12th. You will really like her blog.
Doesn't she have the best selvages? Jen, where do you find those fabrics?
WOW, Jen!!! Gorgeous and I love the colors. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, Karen! Adds a whole new angle to creating with selvages . . . .
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting this out in front of all your peeps Karen. I can't tell you what a time-saver it is and wanted as many people as possible to consider this approach. A lot of my selvages are japanese imports...I think I'm addicted to them! I keep buying them, but so far only use the selvages :-) Try superbuzzy.com and reprodepot.com to start. But don't say I didn't warn ya!
ReplyDeleteLove that blue and it is a zinger for sure.
ReplyDeletePretty! You all have inspired me to start saving selvages. I have a question - the writing is very close to the edge, how do you sew it to it's neighbor without covering part of the words? I assume you use the teeniest seam allowance possible.
ReplyDeleteThese selvages that you all are using for a ba-zillion creations just amazes me. That quilt is gorgeous.
