I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these "shoes!" I didn't try them on but the salesman said customers have told him they're comfortable. They look like they'd provide great traction. Very frog-like.
This doesn't have a thing to do with selvages, but people who would sit in the "Onion Chair" need to know about these things. (See sidebar if you don't know about the Onion Chair.)
ciao
ReplyDeleteli avevo giĆ visti tre anni fa in Svizzera...e sono veramente confortevoli!
People in my running group are trying these out to see how they go for 4 months, 6 months, etc.
ReplyDeleteI've heard all kinds of wonderful things from those runners who do wear them, but word of mouth from someone you actually KNOW says a lot. ;)
I recently saw them at a store and was intrigued by them, but I think they are pretty ugly myself.
ReplyDeleteGood night Gertie! What next!! TTFN ~Marydon
ReplyDeleteWell I guess we wear gloves on our hands and think nothing of it. Not sure I would like them but to each his own as they say.
ReplyDeleteToo funny. When I first saw them I thought they might be lake shoes. But I see one of your commenters says that runners are wearing them.
ReplyDeleteew.. no... can't say i'm liking these at all. Don't like anything telling my feet how to be. I'd rather be barefoot.
ReplyDeleteI can see others might like them though.
a very serious runner I know where them in a 30km extreme hill race last summer and says they were good.
ReplyDeletevery bizarre.
ReplyDeleteThey look like the same construction as the gardeners' gloves and the kind we use for machine quilting. Could be really scary looking to wear them both at the same time!!
ReplyDeleteJust when you think you've seen the most ugly shoes ever-along comes this.
ReplyDeleteReally worried about running into someone wearing these. I won't be able to control myself...nope, not a bit. Could be a social disaster ahead....sigh
Humm, do I need special socks to wear this shoes??
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I would like something between my toes like that...also don't know how it would feel with my bunion! :)
ReplyDeletemy son has them and loves them - they are for (not) barefoot running. He said he got funny looks at work though after his lunch run - and he works for REI.
ReplyDeleteThose are certainly conversation starters, but I have to admit that I'd rather have the Onion Chair in my backyard than those shoes on my feet!
ReplyDeletei wouldn't be caught dead wearing those; funny looking ugly.
ReplyDeleteWow, they are kind of like toe socks, I love those, i would imagine I would really enjoy these shoes too. Are they for running specifically? I don't run, but I would wear those.
