This weekend we had our first snowfall in Litchfield, Connecticut! Not enough to shovel, just enough to make everything pure white. My husband and I went for a ride early in the morning to get some photos before it melted, but by nightfall the snow was still on each little branch. It was only 24 degrees. That's why the photo below was taken from inside the car! Isn't it beautiful?
'tis the season! I love snow pictures.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Karen!!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos of Zion Park, Utah. Especailly the first one - the tree on the edge is captured perfectly indeed!
What an amazing place America must be with it's many changing ecosystems and environments - I hope to visit some day.
I'm going to take a guess at all that selvedge - looks interesting!
also I just did a blog post about my lastest Arabella bags and I have used selvedge bits in a couple of the inside pockets - you may wish to take a look?
love to vsit here, even though I don't always leave a comment, thanks!
Karen, It definitely is a winter wonderland. Our snow is still here too. But then again, I am not that far from you. Although, when I drive down off the mountain to Route 44, the snow is pretty non-existent.
ReplyDeletebeautiful...that is how it looks here at our house in NY. i love how the snow clings to the branches.
ReplyDeleteSnow and sun, that´s so beautiful! Everything glitters. I wish we had some snow too, but it´s to warm here.
ReplyDeleteI love it when everything turns white...love Winter ( I know most people don't like Winter but I do)
ReplyDeleteEspecially when everything is so clean looking and freshened up and when the Christmas light twinkle under the snow...perfect.
Nice Pics

Beautiful! Why can't it stay like this? Why does it have to get dirty, and turn to slush???
ReplyDeleteIt's quite beautiful in your photos, Karen. Much prettier to see snow in the countryside, and with some hoar frost (is it?) on the trees too. Lovely. Why is it that snow make me think of the roar of snowblowers along the street, and I want to stay at home? Driving in it is never beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThis was not enough snow to blow or shovel so it was nice and quiet. Snow does lose it's charm by February, but the first one is always a thrill for me. I bet you have plenty of snow stories, living in Iowa!
