This cartoon cracked me up, and I had to share it with you.My fabric stash is like a bath tub with the water running and the drain open. You know, some coming in and some going out, and the overall level staying about the same. (Which is about 8 Rubbermaid storage boxes.)

ReplyDeleteI have purged a BUNCH of fabric, and am only trying to buy fabric that I NEED for a specific project. So far I'm doing well, but I've still got enough fabric to quilt my entire city! :)

ReplyDeleteMy name is Mimi and I have the addiction, too. I was just upstairs cleaning up from my last project and I'm overstocked! I have some more organizing to do and then I'll start another project.
Seriously, though...I LOVE having a big stash. I can go upstairs to my studio and just create...usually don't need to shop for much of anything.
Oh dear....I have to admit I have the equivalent of A MINIMUM of ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY Rubbermaid storage containers - the BIGGEST ones. I'm insulating my house with fabric. Come the "fabric famine" you will all be trying to be my best friend. I just went to the Sewing & Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, WA last Thursday and came home with plenty more to join the fabric family I already have. I'm a baddddd fabricaholic.....there is no 12-step program for me.....

ReplyDeleteOnly 8 rubbermaid totes--I wish--I have two walls full of shelving rom Ikea--that is full of fabric--plus about 100+ tubs on shelves in my garage. I have been quilting since 1970 & it shows.... Help I DO NEED A 12 STEP PROGRAM!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThat is just too funny!! Just remember they will never stop creating more beautiful fabrics... so just enjoy quilting and stop feeling guilty!! That's what I think... I have bought lots of batting but only 1 FQ of fabric in about the last 6 months.
