Has anyone seen the new Kaffe book yet? Judging this book by its cover, I think I may have to buy this one. I'm curious about the quilts in the lower-left and the lower right. I wonder if he makes those little fans the way I do (see: www.empirebom.blogspot.com to see the Feb.2010 block). The one with the black wheels...I can't imagine. Applique? Embroidery?
I've heard this book is in the stores. Tell me what you think.
Somewhere I did see some of the contents - I have the book on order and can't wait - I seem to remember it points out where Kaffe gets his inspiration, all sort of nice, odd places!

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon and it arrived last week. It is a beautiful book with lots of inspiration. You will not be disappointed! Ros
ReplyDeleteI don't have it, but Wanda at Exuberant Color does. Check it out!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteI have it on order for my shop. Lots of copies. I hope they arrive soon. I am anxious to see it too.
I got mine from Amazon yesterday. To say it's stunning would be a total understatement. And I've just started "reading" it (after drooling on all the pictures several times) but it seems that it's quite generous in the "why" of all of the quilts too and I love that. :) Buy it. You won't be sorry! :)
ReplyDeleteMy copy was pre-ordered and is somewhere between the Amazon warehouse and my office . . . I wish it would hurry up!
ReplyDeleteWow, I just went to your empirebom blog and it looks like such fun! I love the patterns - lots of inspiration! I love bom's! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI pre-ordered this book from amazon. I have read it from cover to cover. It is consistent with his previous books- beautiful photos, inspiring designs, poorly written instructions. His fans are paper pieced. I would buy it again because I enjoy it as a book.
ReplyDeleteI just got mine and it's beautiful! But also one of my favorite designers. Love his colors!
