You know how we keep admiring the Japanese selvages for the clever little shapes they use for color windows, and we say the American companies should make their selvages nicer? Well, here is a new selvage from Moda. Take a look at those color windows! Aren't they nice? They also have some acorns and bells among their new selvages.
Our existing selvage quilts will soon look like antiques now that selvages are getting more modern. Did we selvage quilters inspire Moda to spruce up their selvages? Maybe so.
and the Make Life line has little paisley shapes (or tear drops?). I showed them to my hubby but he just didnt' understand my excitement.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Moda has taken note of how many of us are looking at the selvage before we buy our fabric. Sometimes that's the most important part of my purchase. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow love it! This will certainly add a new creative element to selvage quilting.
ReplyDeleteI think with the quilting community being so huge and world wide we have a very BIG voice and fabric companies should listen. :o)
ReplyDeleteGotta love that! I say all manufacturers need to dress up their selvages!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!! I'll be on the lookout for them
ReplyDeleteI would guess that fabric manufacturers are starting to realize that some of us look at selvages when we're buying fabric. Thanks to you for starting the trend!
ReplyDeletethis is great news for collectors of salvages - I have started my small collection and these are interesting. I will be on the look out.
