Patty in Ohio wants to finish up her Millennium Quilt. Her plan is to use 2,000 different fabrics to make this a charm quilt. So far she has 1,665 blocks. Patty needs 335 more. That's where we come in.
I bet we have a few 4" x 4" squares of fabric from the 20th century hanging around, right? I think I have a few. :)

I do love scrap quilts and would love to help...but I'm going to be away from my stash for over a month. I'll check with Patty to see what her deadline is, as I'd be happy to help. Thanks for sharing insights about this opportunity to help Patty.

My friendship quilt group did a Millennium challenge...we exchanged fabric families for 8 months, rotating colors, to encompass all 8 basic color families. In the end we added ourselves what we needed to get to 2,000. I'm proud to say I finished mine by the deadline of December 31, 1999. It was definitely a challenge! Good luck to Patty.
ReplyDeleteKaren, The response has been wonderful from people wanting to send me scraps. I am sure that I will have enough to get this puppy done. Fabrics will be coming from all over the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, and Spain! What a treat! Thank you so much for your help!
