Question for Quilters
Does anyone know the name for this quilt block? I made the quilt below, but I don't know how to describe the block. Would you call it "Birds Almost in the Air?" Just kidding. This is a wall quilt, 26.5" wide x 31" long.
I have almost always seen the light and dark triangle pair named "corn and beans" or some such name referring to the light and dark coloring. Not sure if that was what you were looking for.
The "Quick & Easy Block Tool" shows a block very similar to yours and calls it "Homeward Bound". That's not what I find when I Google "homeward bound quilt block". It's #42 here: http://books.google.com/books?id=opWezJHYAfgC&pg=PR6&dq=homeward+bound+quilt+block&hl=en&ei=rmNxTqPTKO3WiALl4qHhAg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CDwQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false
Perhaps, "Geese almost Flying". LOL!

ReplyDeleteSail boat sails is what I see!
ReplyDeleteYou could call it "Clipped Wings" - hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteI had the same idea as Sharon -- Clipped Wings!
ReplyDeleteDon't now the name, but I do love your quilt!
ReplyDeleteI vote for Clipped Wings as well
