Sept. 11 Ten-Year Anniversary

The television coverage of that day has been heart-wrenching.
The waterfall at the new memorial is inspirational and beautiful (below). It's even prettier at night.

See the entire National Tribute Quilt.

  1. Thank you for the link to view the 9/11 National Tribute quilt. It is just wonderful and I would love to be able to see it in real life one day. Dianne (Australia)

  2. New York has always held a special place in my heart. I have been many times over the years and had been in Windows on the World in the North Tower. I got married in the December after 9/11 and we decided to go back to be supportive more than anything to a town that had always been so good to us. Like so many, I couldn't comprehend the vastness of it all. We saw many fireman funerals as we walked the streets on that visit. Everyone came to a standstill as the engines drove past. It was several visits later before I could face going to ground zero. I think the fountains are a wonderful tribute to a wonderful place that not only never sleeps but never gives up.
I saw the Tribute quilt in NY a few years ago. So much love, sorrow and memories stitched together. I will never forget it.

  6. To było straszne i cały świat zamarł...
    Pamiętamy.
Kołdra jest wspaniałym hołdem dla wspaniałych nowojorczyków.
It was terrible and the whole world grew sad ...
    We remember.
Quilt is a great tribute to the great New Yorkers.
