In your comment, tell us something that you have enjoyed during this Christmas/Hanukkah season. I have enjoyed decocrating the Christmas tree with my husband. The ornaments bring back lots of memories. We have a pair of mangled eyeglass frames that we found in the Badlands of South Dakota back in the 1970's. We thought it showed how really bad those Badlands were. It's a pretty interesting tree. Haha.
Today was my first day of work for a week. I enjoyed that very much :) The crowds arrive tomorrow and the whirlwind begins.
ReplyDeleteenjoyed filling a stocking for Salvation Army. Also wrapping some packages.

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
What I enjoyed most was being surprised on Dec. 11th, when my 23 year old grandson who my hubby and I raised, stepped into our living room and said "Merry Christmas Grandma"!!! I hadn't seen him in over 8 months because he has been away in the Air Force and just the night before he had told me he would not be home until the evening of the 24th, and then only for 5 days. Everyone in the family was in on the surprise and I'm pretty hard to surprise...my entire family says I have a sixth sense and they were sure I knew something was going on, but I had no idea. He doesn't have to leave until the 30th so I am enjoying every second of these three weeks he has at home. So...that moment when he gave me one of his wonderful hugs, will forever be what I enjoyed most this Christmas. Hugs and Merry Christmas everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed making a quilt for my son. He finally told me that he wants one! I am so excited because it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing this year has been my 3 year old's responses to the question "What do you want for Christmas." First it was asked after she talked with Santa. She said, "A snowman! See he (Santa) gave it to me." and now she's settled on, A rock! A pink one! I love that.

ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteYou said you enjoyed "decocrating" the tree? Does that have something to do with a crate? Ha,ha, I'm just teasing you about the typo. I enjoy the quiet time spent with family and friends
I spent a day in early Dec. with friends visiting a church that had a large display of Nativity sets, all beautifully decorated. Then we went to lunch and did a little shopping. A very fun day.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy going to the family party. All the cousins and nieces and nephews are there that we rarely see. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful Christmas tradition start this year. Our 3-year-old granddaughter was given free rein to decorate our Christmas tree with the ornaments she wanted. Of course, there was a heavy concentration from the floor to about 3-1/2 feet up (as far as her little arms could reach), and it was delightful. After she finished I found some necklaces and a bracelet I'd given her for play also gracefully hanging from tree branches. It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. I love these books.
This Christmas is important because my friend is not well. I sent Myra a Santa Sack full of novelties, and stuff (can't tell you cause she reads this blog)and decorations for Christmas 2012 - We have to be positive!
