This "Bubble Quilt" was part of the Crow Collection of Asian Art exhibited in Dallas a few years ago. I've never seen one like this before. How about you?
It's on
Granny Geek's blog. It's not a quilt blog; she writes about her observations in Dallas.
Mad but yet oddly attractive - would love a bag with some of those cheeky little people on it!
ReplyDeleteI love it, so cute!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! What a witty idea! I'd love, love, love to see the quilt "for real".
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love it!
ReplyDeleteFun to see something new! Thanks
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I am just amazed at the imagination that went into this beautiful piece of art.....I'd love to see it close up as well.
ReplyDeletethanks for showing it to us....when I saw that picture pop up on the side of my blog I just had to see what it was!
Happy sewing
I have seen something similar, but the "bubbles were smaller and the whole piece was also. It was in the early 70s at an art show in Superior, Wi or Duluth MN. (They are twin cities north of the Twin Cities of St.Paul and Minneapolis, MN) I think there was some very subtle color, too. I've remembered it all these years, I was that impressed, and figured someday I'd make one, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this piece. Good memories!
Merry Christmas Hugs!
Thanks for the link! Glad you liked the quilt. The exhibition was amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat, weird but neat, lol.
