Here's the progress on my Bohemian Style Scarf Blanket. Only the scarf on the left is finished. When I'm riding in the car I can't measure the scarf accurately, so I just pull the needles out and start another. Yes, I have loose stitches exposed there, but if they get messed up I'll just rip out a row or two.
The Basics: Size 8 needles, Acrylic yarn medium weight (about 23 colors), 26 stitches, each scarf is 62" long, all Knit stitch.
Gorgeous!!!

ReplyDeleteI'll retype it for no typos-this is a great way to use small amounts of yarn!
ReplyDeletelove the look of this, but what will you do with all those ends of yarn where you join? that part I don't like to have to weave in all the ends. do you have a more simple solution? the look of this is awesome.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteYes, Carol. I have a simple solution: when I crochet the scarves together, I'll just encase all those strings. No weaving at all. If some ends work their way out, they'll just get trimmed off (or pulled back in). I'll show you when I get to that point.
ReplyDeleteIt may be soon, I'm riding to Vermont today. Hope to see the quilt show in Essex Junction. I'll bring back photos for you.
This is awesome - I just love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful idea. I'm going to crochet something like it. I have lots of scraps to use. Thank you.
