I'm Going to Ireland!

I'm going to Ireland in June with my sister, Mom, Mom's cousin, and her 2 daughters. Mom's grandmother came to the US from Waterford, Ireland around 1900. We'll travel around the perimeter of the whole island for a week. I can't wait. I'm reading up on Irish history now. Very interesting!
This is a photo of the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast.

I hear the Limerick Quilt Center is a good destination. Any other suggestions?

I found this quilt label in a Google image search for "Limerick Quilt Center." Haha.

  1. I think you will love Ireland. I found it a very pretty place. My favourite thing was visiting Graggaunowen near Quin in County Clare.

  2. I am so happy for you! All of my great-grandparents on my father's side were born in Ireland. When my sister visited Ireland years ago, she said it actually felt like coming home. I hope you have that same very special feeling.

  3. My DH and I took my MIL and her sister to Ireland for 10 days, we traveled far and wide and wished we could have stayed longer. The people are so friendly, so go to the pubs for meals and stay for the music.
I loved being in the country keeping an eye out for the sheep wandering the roads. You'll have a ball, so much to see and take in.

    Happy Sewing

  5. No dejes de visitar la Abadia de Kylemore en el Condado de Galway, así como su ciudad principal Galway... En realidad todo el oeste de Irlanda es precioso.
Le deseo que disfrute mucho en su viaje.
