I wonder how many 20-somethings don't recognize this object! I have to admit that when I hear "clothes-pin" lately, I think of fashion boards on Pinterest. And I'm glad.

Goodness! doesn't everyone use clothespins to keep the bread bag closed? The chip bag? The cereal bag? I'm always using those things for everything but clothes!

ReplyDeleteWe had a "solar dryer" (clothes line) in the 80s when we were dirt poor, and it saved us lots in electricity. Just for towels, I'd have one now, but since I'm nursing a pinched nerve, I probably couldn't use it. Thanks for the pic of the art.
