Spools of Thread Used in 2014

Here they are: my 21 spools of thread emptied during 2014. This seems to be about average for me.
Did you keep track of your spools this year? If so, leave a comment below.

Remember when spools were made of wood? Wow, that sounds old fashioned now.
I hope you have a wonderful quilting year ahead.

  1. No I don't. I use the 3000 yd spools. BUT I'd love to have your empty spools ... be happy to pay the postage. These would be used in a later project this year.

  6. I averaged about 25 spools a month, which I donated for a local children's project. They don't want any more so I'll be happy to give them to SandyQuilts, Karen if you would give her my contact information. It's JoAnne in Diamond Bar using my husband's computer.

  7. I saved my spools this year - I think I have all of 10 and at least 3 of them had the thread cut off of them because it was junk. haha. Fun. I need to empty the bag for *this* year's collection.

  10. My granddaughter had fun counting mine. I had 99! I beat last year by 2. And yes, I do a lot of machine quilting. I quilted 90 items from tabletoppers to king size quilts, and that's up from 88 last year. I'm hoping that number is smaller this year - I want to do more of my own fun sewing and not so much of finishing other people's things.
    Happy New Year!
