Need a reason to make a quilt?

Because it's cold outside! Doesn't this picture make you want to get to work on a new quilt? One with wool batting?

To you quilters in Australia, it may be summer, but the cold is coming, so you need to get quilting too. Every season is perfect for quilting!

This photo was taken along the highway in Western Massachusetts. It's such a massive wall of ice. I'd love to get some food coloring on that!

  3. You have inspired me, I have a selvage collection started now. All those years of throwing them out. Oh well.
Waiting for the temp to drop back to the 30's. A week of 40's has not been conducive to quilt.

  7. OK, talking about extreme temperatures, it has been 43-45 deg every day for five days here in Ballarat (southern Australia)- and because it isn't usually known for such heat, most people don't have air conditioners. So, it's off to the public library, the movies, the pool, or wherever else we can keep at least a little cooler. :o)
