This beautiful little selvage spiderweb quilt was made by Cindy at liveacolorfullife. She made this for Jennifer as part of a swap on flickr. See the name "Jennifer" in the blue selvage in the bottom photo? Nice touch. I love this design, the quilting, and the striped binding. Great selvages, too. It's perfect. If you haven't seen all the amazing quilts on flickr, you're in for a nice surprise. Go to http://www.flickr.com/ and sign up. It's easy and free. Then enter "quilting" in the "Find a Group" box. There are even some selvage quilting groups.
This is a stand-out quilt. I think what helps make it so is the pearl cotton big stitch. What a nice enhancement to an already pretty piece.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Jennifer was thrilled. I really like the big stitching.
ReplyDeleteWow, this quilt is gorgeous! What a lucky partner to receive this in a swap! I always love the clever placements Cindy does with her selvage projects. Love that hand stitching!
ReplyDeleteDitto to all the above comments!
ReplyDeleteThis one really is a nice piece! I think I could do a small one like this, thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love the extension of the design into the border - it's a beautiful mini quilt.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love it. The fabric, the piecing and the quilting!
