Liz used telephone book pages for the foundations. Talk about upcycling! I love the zig zags going on here. It reminds me of the rippling pattern of water in a swimming pool. It looks like an optical illusion. Extremely different from any selvage quilt I've seen and very creative.

ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. Karen, since using the selvages is so popular with some quilters, have the manufactures caught on? Are we getting more words/color dots closer together so we have more usable selvage. Hope that makes sense...I've been on the fabric wagon since 2001. If I ever get to buy fabric again, I hope the selvages better serve than the ones I'm getting out of my stash.

If only I could get back what I threw away all those years! I have only been collecting the selvages for about a year. This quilt is so different from anything I have seen -- STUNNING is a great description.
