Maybe it's the influence of selvages, but fabric with words on it really appeals to me. I checked out "Come Tarry with Me's" blog. The quilt on her design wall is amazing. Never heard of the pattern designer, but I'm sure there's hundreds more I've never seen. Love to see a parade of new designers somewhere one day.
ReplyDeleteThe grandsons are just getting into Peter Pan and pirates. I bought one of them a pirate ship rug with a bunch of figurines for his birthday this summer...those fqs would make a great little drawstring bag to keep all those pieces together!

Like you, I'm loving the fabric with the words. I'm loving those recently too. I recently did a calendar quilt, and the month of July had the American flag, and luckily I found fabric that had the Pledge of Allegiance on it. How totally cool was that???
