These hand-painted sunny faces are souvenirs from a trip to Taos, New Mexico that my husband and I took about 5 years ago. Finally they are out of the box and decorating the porch doorway in my quilt room. This room is the perfect place for decorations that are a little over-the-top for my husband's taste. Haha. He does like quilts decorating the rest of the house though.
What are you decorating your sewing space with?
What treasures. They look great around the door, making sure you're smiling. Great color inspirations for your sewing room.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to have something from a trip that brings back happy memories. I think they're fun and happy.
ReplyDeleteUna hermosura!!!
ReplyDeleteI decorate my studio with my husband's photos and my beaded icons.
ReplyDeleteI love them soooo much!! Perfect place for them too. Lots of color, you can't go wrong. I have colorful geckos decorating the entrance to my studio.
ReplyDeleteI love suns and have them all over the house and the yard.
ReplyDeleteglen: oooo, my word verification was poones....hee hee
Funny about over-the-top...I painted the walls of my sewing room each in a different color: lime green, lavender, orange, and pink. Thanks for showing your lovely mementos!
ReplyDeleteSadly, my sewing room has little decoration and is quite plain. I need to get in there and spruce the place up. Your sunny faces are adorable and I could see where they would brighten the room.
ReplyDeleteI have decorated with two quilts and on my design wall I have some small memories from my trip to Peru.
ReplyDeleteMy sewing space is filled with my favorite quilts. Your Taos treasures would make great quilts, too!
ReplyDeleteI love these and they look so fun on the wall here and there. Just perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are perfect. My sewing room is decorated mostly with cat hair.
ReplyDeleteThey do look nice there, very happy looking! Well, since all my sewing had to moved out into the garage, I would say my garage is decorated much better than before. All those colors and quilting gadets make it a nicer place. :-)
