Lower Antelope Canyon

This is Lower Antelope Canyon in Utah. My husband Jason and I spent a few hours here exploring and taking lots of photos.



It's very quiet in here, except when the ravens fly in and out of their nests near the top. You can see some stairs in the photo below.



This is a popular spot for photographers. We also met many visitors from foreign countries, especially Japan and Germany.



It takes about an hour to walk through the canyon and back to the parking area, but if your husband's taking lots of photos, it can take much longer. Haha.

    I wanted to go here when we traveled this winter. Did you go alone? Did you have to hire a guide? Beautiful images!

    I took the photos! Haha. I guess I outdid myself if you are wondering who the photographer was!

    The Navajos take an admission fee ($25 per person) and they walk with you. They are nice young guys and they don't rush. But my husband explained that he needed lots of time and didn't want a guide, so they agreed and we were on our own.

    Very cool photos! I love the lines. I couldn't figure that first one out until I saw the second one you posted. Was it warm and could you sit on the rocks and wait until your husband was done taking pictures? Or do you have to worry about snakes and such?

    I didn't even think of snakes! Luckily I didn't see any either. It was very comfortable, about 70 degrees. It was a real treat coming from CT where it's still pretty chilly.

    Very nice photo's! We stayed in Utah just outside of Zion Nat'l Park three winters ago and spent two weeks in Page, Az on our way back home to Mn that spring. BEAUTIFUL place. The weather was perfect for exploring while we were there. I could live there very easily if not for the HOT of the summer months! Thanks for showing the photo's. Makes me want to hop in the car and go back!

    This is a nice place to linger and watch the changing sunlight change the colors and shapes of the canyons.

    Terrific pictures! These would be great framed hung as a foursome.

    We visited last fall and loved Antelope Canyon. Our Navajo guide was a photography specialist and helped everyone get wonderful pictuers. We had a magical time.

    Oooh....I have always wanted to visit this place with my camera! Lovely...and thank you for sharing. First time I saw pictures of this place was by a photographer - Peter Lik....now seeing yours makes me want to plan a trip!!!

    I do know exactly what you mean when you said it takes so much longer when your husband is a photographer.......... Mine behaves in exactly the same way!
