Design Wall Update
I decided that the Amish style Stairstep quilt needed a border. The piano keys have more dark colors than medium colors, drawing your attention to the middle of the quilt. When making the border I didn't distribute the mediums in an artistic way, I just let the chips fall where they may. Sometimes this works, but this time, meh. Maybe I'll just darken the rectangles in the lower left area. I do love all the colors.

What a stunning quilt
I think it workds. it glows in the middle and the borders look like they're in the shadows.
Perfection! LOVE it!! I know you made it especially for me, right? ;)
I'm not a red person but this is really, really nice. I am a solid person, though.
I like the border and it frames the quilt nicely.
Don't change anything. It's perfect just the way it is.
The border really adds so much! I love your color sense.
Not meh at all! I love it! Very striking. I love the way the border is darker without shouting, "I'm darker".
I'm liking it better each time I view it. I do agree the bottom of the left side needs a couple more dark ones interpersed in those bright pinks. What size is it now?
Don't change a thing! This is a real dazzler, I keep looking at it and it really sings.....
