I am going to finish my first ever quilt, a Harley quilt!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity for the give away!
I'm going to make a Wonky Canasta Quilt from Elizabeth Hartman's pattern. I've been collecting the fabric for about 10 months now, and finally have all the pieces I need. I am so excited to make this quilt!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I am going to make this: http://www.modabakeshop.com/2010/09/meandering-path-quilt.html#more From the moda bake shop, using Sugar Pop for the fabric. I'm making it for my friend, Karol, who has babysat for me for many, many years, and never once accepted payment for it. (And I'm talking full time babysitting while I worked!) I'm not that great at sewing, I'm still rather new at this, but I'm excited about this quilt. Most of my projects in the past have been simply sewing charm packs together. (This is essentially the same thing, I guess, just with rectangles! LoL) Did I mention that I'm excited? LoL jody.edwards@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThe FIRST thing I am going to sew....you are kidding LOL I have made a looooong list on my blog what my focus projects are going to be. It would have been fun to have this calendar in my sewingroom :)
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you!!
I'm going to finishing sewing my 'star light star bright quilt' then work on my swap postcards for the month of January.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make a baby quilt. Great giveaway! Please count me in!
ReplyDeleteIn 2011 I will start with finishing my Civil War Diary Quilt. The top was done in 2009. I had a retreat from the quilt in 2010, so it is finishing time in 2011.

Gerda
I'm going to make a bag from Lisa Lam's new book
ReplyDeleteI am going to finish an UFO - a hidden ninepatch quilt.

I think I'm going to start a charm square quilt. But then again, I've gotten a bunch of fabric and a few quilt books for Christmas so I've got a bunch of ideas floating around in my head right now!
ReplyDeleteThe list is long but I must first complete a mini quilt and continue working on a Sampler ...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
I'm going to make a baby quilt in browns/beiges...new grandchild due in February!

Hi, I am going to be playing around mixing foil with fabric. Not sure what the final outcome will be. I really need to step up to a brown bag challenge that I have had the fabric for months...deadline isn't until March, so I've put it on the back burner.
ReplyDeleteNot counting the several projects I have going right now, the first thing I plan to sew is a set of placemats. An online friend sent me two rolls of selvages, and I am going to make the placemats with one of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to sew a set of miniature blocks.
ReplyDeleteI am going to make some "Quilts of Love"
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway thank you.

ReplyDeleteWell I need to keep working on a sampler quilt, and a country style wall hanging. But I have also signed up for two group projects...a Baltimore quilt (it will be my first one)and also a basket made with japanese style appliqué. The calendar will help me get a bit organized!!! ReplyDeleteMichele
My first 2011 project is a wall hanging for my sister... her birthday is on the 27th!
ReplyDeleteI just atarted working on somethign for me....so I am going to keep working on it. I have yet to make a quilt for ME, well other than my first one, but that's turned into the guest quilt. (it fits perfectly on the hide-a-bed)
ReplyDeleteI will be making a string quilt also, but that is second on my list. I have a couple of Valentine table runners and Mug Rugs to make first.
ReplyDeleteI am working on the current Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt called Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll. The 7th of 8 clues will be coming out on New Year's Eve, so I'll be working on that step and finishing up any previous steps I haven't finished. I got way behind getting ready for Christmas. If I get caught up with that, I have a funky Christmas tree quilt I want to start for next Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love these calendars - I buy one for myself every year! Not only do they help me to stay organized (I need all the help I can get) but the pictures of the quilts are a great inspiration for future projects!
ReplyDeleteMy first project will be an eye spy game for my grandson. I've been collecting little trinkets to put in the flannel square...just need to find my clear vinyl for the window....:P
ReplyDeleteThe absolutely very first thing I'm going to do is finish knitting a scarf for my daughter (she is asking for it!!), and then I can concentrate on starting a new quilt for me--a 30 Stars for 30 Years quilt. Our 30th anniv was in August, and the pattern was purchased this summer, fabric purchased on sale in late fall.... So I'd love to see this quilt hanging on the wall first thing in the new year. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThe first new one I'll start is a BOM I'm doing with my fave SIL. And I'll continue to work on finishing the hand quilting on my Grandmother's Flower Garden and also the Piece 'O Cake applique blocks (8 blocks finished, 8 more to go plus the border).

ReplyDeleteCabin Friends, by Primitive Gatherings. It is small, but cute. Looks like I could get it done in January.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to put together a quilt for my sister-in-law. She cut out the feather/fan pieces with her mother ago. She/they proceeded to to sew together 1 block. She then told her mother she wasn't going to finish...that way her mother would be with her forever, so they could finish it.
ReplyDeleteWell, her mother died several years ago. My 'sneaky' niece brought me the pieces last summer. Even though the fabric is not-so-nice to work with, I want to make it up for her. When completed, I'll machine embroider a patch for the back with both of their names, and mine. I know when I deliver the couch-sized quilt, there will be many tears!!

ReplyDeleteI am going to make and donate a quilt for our local foster care program. It will go to a teen aged boy who is too old to remain in foster care and is going out into the world and beginning a new life on his own. Making a gift that will be well received by a boy, especially a teen, is a New Year's challenge all on its own...but I'm taking it and will fill that quilt with all the love I can create!
ReplyDeleteI am going to work on my mom's quilt that she started in 1982. It is a sampler and it's lovely. I am going to hand quilt it! I would love to be part of the giveaway! Happy New Year Karen! Steph
