Have you seen Julie Sefton's book? Build a Barn, No Pattern Construction
This looks like fun. She is an awesome quilter.

It's not pieced onto the back but stitched on so that it will be quilted into
the quilt. I used a Sharpie to write on the freezer-papered fabric, removed the
paper and heat set the printing, pieced a bit, pressed some more, and finished
with selvages (giving me woven edges and no turning under). How clever is that? Good thinking, Julie!
Quilt Diva Julie in Memphis, TN is making this Zinger for her son using jeans and a charcoal brown as the solid fabrics. Some of you contributed selvages featuring dogs, and this is where she's using them. This quilt is going to have 4 borders! I can't wait to see the finished quilt! I am so excited to bring you this idea from "QuiltDiva" Julie Sefton of Memphis, TN. She made these pillows for the children and grandchildren of a lawyer who passed away. What an excellent memorial keepsake! He had some pretty interesting ties too. I love how she put them together in a playful improvisational way. I plan to make some of these. Thanks, Julie!
