More Couching from Hata Larson

I found the entire post from Hata Larson. She couches strips cut from old tee shirts (1-1.25") onto foundation fabric along drawn lines. She starts with the flowers, then fills in the background. And this new photo shows beads too! Nice.

Seashell Encrusted Pillow

This unique pillow was displayed in a store window in Provincetown, MA this summer. The idea intrigued me. Who would ever think of attaching hard seashells to a soft pillow? I think the shells were first strung together, then couched onto the pillow. This really appeals to me; I think it would look very cool in my quilt studio.
