Pat Sloan is Making the Red Zinger Selvage Quilt on YouTube!

I'm so excited that Pat Sloan is making the Red Zinger quilt on her YouTube channel: The Sloan Zone! 

Pat has a daily YouTube video, a website, she's written 35 books, and designs fabrics. She does it all! And she's as friendly and energetic as she looks in the pic above. I love to start my day with her show and a cup of tea.

Pat Sloan Will Make the Red Zinger Quilt this Year!

Today quilter Pat Sloan showed my Red Zinger quilt pattern on her You Tube program! She's been saving selvages that quilters mail to her and she'll use them this year to make a Red Zinger. 

Pat Sloan is a quilt designer, author, teacher, radio/podcast/YouTuber show producer and host, and fabric designer who lives in Virginia. You already knew that, right?

The First All-Selvage Quilt Exhibit!

Twenty of my selvage quilts are now on exhibit at Brookside Quiltworks in South Egremont, Massachusetts starting today and running until the end of May. Printed patterns for many of the quilts are available, and most of the quilts are available for purchase too. 

Catherine's shop is full of the most wonderful fabrics and quilt goodies! Lots of treasures and inspiration for any quilt project. 

Combine this with a nice lunch in nearby Great Barrington, MA and you have a fun outing!

Brookside Quiltworks is open Tuesday-Friday 10-5, Saturday 10-3.

Star Bright is Done!

The quilt and the pattern are finished! I decided to go with Version #2 (scroll down to see post) because I really like the illusion of an empty box in the middle of this star. Thanks for all your input!

This is the first time I've tied a quilt. It was fun. I used DMC Pearle cotton #5.
