AQS Calendar Giveaway!

Leave a comment and you'll be entered to win this AQS Engagement calendar. One winner will be randomly chosen on Friday. (52 great quilts in there to enjoy all year.)

In your comment, tell us something that you have enjoyed during this Christmas/Hanukkah season. I have enjoyed decocrating the Christmas tree with my husband. The ornaments bring back lots of memories. We have a pair of mangled eyeglass frames that we found in the Badlands of South Dakota back in the 1970's. We thought it showed how really bad those Badlands were. It's a pretty interesting tree. Haha.

I have enjoyed seeing all the Christmas lights this year. We have seen the neighborhood lights, but also lights at the Botanical Gardens and Stone Mountain. Beautiful.

That is one thing I didn't get this year, a calendar, lol.
My favorite thing was making presents and surprising some new friends who made my year special by brightening up my days with gifts.

This is my son's first year as a minister. Three weeks ago I took our church organist with me to listen to the cantata his church choir was performing. Great music, good fellowship, true Christmas message.

Thanks for the chance - I have always enjoyed those calendars.

What I enjoyed about this holiday was for the first time I got my christmas gifts done on time and mailed. I think my kids will be shocked. I enjoyed the christmas lights.

What I enjoyed most was being surprised on Dec. 11th, when my 23 year old grandson who my hubby and I raised, stepped into our living room and said "Merry Christmas Grandma"!!! I hadn't seen him in over 8 months because he has been away in the Air Force and just the night before he had told me he would not be home until the evening of the 24th, and then only for 5 days. Everyone in the family was in on the surprise and I'm pretty hard to surprise...my entire family says I have a sixth sense and they were sure I knew something was going on, but I had no idea. He doesn't have to leave until the 30th so I am enjoying every second of these three weeks he has at home. So...that moment when he gave me one of his wonderful hugs, will forever be what I enjoyed most this Christmas. Hugs and Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I have enjoyed making a quilt for my son. He finally told me that he wants one! I am so excited because it's beautiful!

My favorite thing this year has been my 3 year old's responses to the question "What do you want for Christmas." First it was asked after she talked with Santa. She said, "A snowman! See he (Santa) gave it to me." and now she's settled on, A rock! A pink one! I love that.

I have enjoyed decorating my house with my daughter. She has such a great eye for decorating. It's so much more fun to do it together then when the children were little and I did most of it myself. I've also made several gift baskets which have been given as a thank you to those who have been very helpful to us.

I have enjoyed listening to all the Christmas music in various places through the month: in stores, on the radio as I go about my errands and shopping, in friends homes and in my own. And I'm so glad there is Google to look up lyrics when I want to know the wording details! Would live to have that art calendar. Bet the quilts are stunning.

We had a wonderful Christmas tradition start this year. Our 3-year-old granddaughter was given free rein to decorate our Christmas tree with the ornaments she wanted. Of course, there was a heavy concentration from the floor to about 3-1/2 feet up (as far as her little arms could reach), and it was delightful. After she finished I found some necklaces and a bracelet I'd given her for play also gracefully hanging from tree branches. It's wonderful!
Thanks for the giveaway. I love these books.

This Christmas is important because my friend is not well. I sent Myra a Santa Sack full of novelties, and stuff (can't tell you cause she reads this blog)and decorations for Christmas 2012 - We have to be positive! I sent it to her family so she won't get it till Christmas Day haha. And on Wednesday I'll be on a plane and going to visit Myra for a week. I can't wait!
