Ah, Starting a New Quilt!

Here's my sewing table. Pink chair (cheap from Staples), Russian dolls in the window, waving hand (wearing the sleeve of a shirt that I transformed into a short-sleeved shirt) and holding a selvage ornament from selvage-quilter Elena, and two pincushions that look like sea urchins with all the pinsies. The gray thing on the windowsill is the docking station for my phone so I can listen to music and charge my phone. The sewing machine is a Juki 98Q. It does just the basics (not even zigzag) and I love it.

Big turkeys walk through the woods now and then. And they have 12 babies too.

The silk fabrics on the table are auditioning for a new quilt. They'll probably all get chosen.  :)

Intermission: I'm off to the Vermont Quilt Festival today. I'll report back to you with photos.

What a beautiful sewing view you have!
I'd like to move my machine to my kitchen window, there we see turkeys and their babies and this morning there was a deer. Trouble is the sink is under the kitchen window!
Enjoy the quilt show.

I love the view from your window. I think I would just keep gazing outside all day :-)

What a peaceful view you have from your window! That looks like a great space to be creative.

What an idealic setting. Don't you wish you could just stay for hours without interuption and quilt?

Beautiful sewing site you have. I'd spend a good amount of time gazing out the window and probably wouldn't get much sewing done. Your fabrics look interesting. Can't wait to see what you are making with them.

Have fun at the quilt show. Take lots of pictures.

Appreciate the tip on the pink chair, but I was just at our local Staples and no such chair exists! I had no idea it would be so difficult to buy a pretty sewing chair.

Sewing can be fun if you’re doing it beside those lovely windows! The view outside can be a good inspiration while doing your quilt. It’s perfect! Anyway, I hope I can have an update about your quilt fest.
