June Calender of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and the Calender Pages blog made this selvage quilt that features 12 women poet's pictures and some of their poetry. There are another 24 poets included in the borders. These photos show the quilt on exhibit at the Bayberry Quilters annual quilt show in August. Not surprisingly, the quilt won a Viewer's Choice ribbon. June was making a statement about women poets being marginalized by critics and academics, hence the selvages. Very creative, June!
