No-Stitch Fabric Swap (flickr)

These little bits of woven selvage art were made by "fatquarter" for a No-Stitch Fabric Swap. She posted this photo on her photostream on http://www.flickr.com/. Participants were not allowed to use a needle. No problem for her, just pull out the stapler! Nice job, Ms. Quarter.

Did you know that there are lots of selvage quilters on flickr? There are two groups that specialize in selvages. Just type "selvage quilts" in the "Find a Group" box, and you'll be able to click on over and visit. Have fun.

Lovely. My mother had a trash can when I was a kid that started life as a five gallon ice cream carton. Magazine pages were rolled into tubes and then glued down the sides, color and beautiful. I'll bet if we did a google of magazine art all kinds of creations would come up.

Did you ever see this selvage post from last year?
