Seminole Patchwork Outfit

This Seminole patchwork outfit made in 1900, is on exhibit at the Portland (Oregon) Art Museum. It's in great condition for being over 100 years old. I'm sure it was a special occasion outfit, maybe a wedding dress?

This is an interesting twist on the idea of quilts made from clothes: clothes made from quilts. (Sort of.)

Beautiful use of solid colors, especially for the year 1900.
