Machine Quilting by Angela Walters

Everyone knows Angela Walters' gorgeous machine quilting, but I just had to feature this photo of her work. You can see more about it on her site: Quilting is My Therapy. She said she turned up the music and really enjoyed doing this quilting. Look how small her designs are. I'd love to be able to do this. Maybe it will be my New Year's resolution to give it a try. I'm just thinking.

I have been watching the changes in the quilt world since the 1970s (yes, I'm an old fossil). The development of this kind of intricate and beautiful quilting is, to me, a special area. It is surely challenging and very satisfying to those who can master this art. Just as some people doodle zentangles and others do magnificent oil paintings, quilters have divided into many various kinds of specialties. It's fascinating to come to your blog and see examples of what other quilter are doing. Thanks for showcasing these interesting quilters.

Love her stuff, I'm a huge fan. Have her books and signed up to her classes on Craftsy.

It's definitely a style that needs lots of practise.

Yes, we can give it a try and keep practicing but we will never be Angela Walters! Her work is magnificent!

She's going to teach at Road to California Quilt show in January and if it wasn't on a long arm, I would have signed up! She's amazing and an excellent teacher. I've learned so much from her books. Yes, we must keep practicing and practicing and ...

I have enjoyed her Craftys class so much, she does break it down so it is not so hard......but it does take practice. Maybe a little practice everyday and we could all quilt like that???

Happy Sewing
