"Solaris" by Christel Pietschmann was featured on Lisa O'Neill's blog: A Thread from the Edge. The quilt was on exhibit at the Pennsylvania Quilt Extravaganza. Thanks for the info, Elle!
Another quilt from the same show featured on Lisa's blog is "Jacob's Coat" by Marcia DeCamp from Palmyra, New York. I love how she made it in 4 big squares.

Both are fascinating. Thanks for frequently showing "modern" quilts. That's what I consider yours are although I don't know if you feel that way.
Wow! incredible. that spiral is amazing!
It's funny that I saw your post this past week and this weekend while looking at a pinterest board for the 9 degree ruler, there are two. One of them is attributed: Contemporary quilt spotted at the 2010 Philadelphia Quilt Show, "Solaris" by Christel Pietschmann. This is the pinterest board; http://www.pinterest.com/aidanjross/wedge-ruler-quilts/
Hope this helps!
