Quilt Top is Done

It feels so good to be settling into my new quilt room. If you're a frequent visitor you've seen this quilt in progress. My favorite way to create a quilt is to make it up as I go along. I'm always surprised. The outer edge of this quilt looks a little like a postage stamp to me. This quilt measures 55" square. Now I have to go look at all those title ideas you suggested!

I love the "fly by the seat of your pants" approach. Such a great combination of solids. What a fantastic design.

Beautiful! I like that you made it up as you went a long. It is more organic and meaningful that way.

Your center block looks exactly like an Indian basket that my mother had. It was about12" in diameter and nearly flat. Just the edge curled up about an inch. It hung on the wall of our kitchen for many years.

Love the quilt and love the process. It's lovely.

Love how it came off and the bordering designs, then a beautiful shade to finish it off.
