New Year's Resolutions

This year I plan to have more fun with my quilting and stay open to trying new things. I think that will mean allowing myself more time for quiltmaking and making my sewing space more comfortable with an electric teapot and the ability to listen to my iTunes. Maybe some quilt retreats and classes too, for trying those "new things."
Also, now that our stuff is out of storage, I am organizing our household. My DH prefers to save things, so that will make it challenging. Maybe this cartoon should have the roles reversed! Haha! Not a chance.
What ideas do you have for adding more fun to our quilting? Update our stashes? :)

Funny! Mr. Creations is a saver too. I fear the day we sell our house and move to our "retirement" home. Looking forward to all the creative goodness you have to share in 2011. If I could put something at the top of my list for this new year...it'd be to attend a quilt retreat. Also I want to make more scrappy projects.

First things first, I need to clean out my sewing room and relieve my stash of stuff I know I won't use. I already gave tons away at our Guild's December sewing room sale, but there is more to go! Having a tidy space will up my sewing fun, I just know it.

I only have one New years resolution. "Use it don't lose". That refers to the food in my refigerator though. OMG my stash won't spoil will it?

I think moving would be the best way to get organized. That's my goal for this year... to purge fabrics by using them up, and to put our house on the market. In this economy we're not too hopeful that it will sell, but we can try. Downsizing sounds REALLY good! Hope you are enjoying your organizing process. You'll feel great when you're finished. Blessings.

I hope moving is not one of them......sounds like too much work.....but I am a pack rat and need to do some serious cleaning out!

My husband has finally learned to live with my quilting mess by giving me a huge space and leaving my stuff alone until "I" put it away.....

Happy sewing and organizing

Oh goodness, your post could have/should have been written by me. I find that I "hold out" on myself, telling myself that I can sew when I "get this done, or that done". Unfortunately, it's not a great motivator and I find myself sewing less.

I too need to organize my sewing room...it has turned into something that could be shown on that "hoarders" television show. It just turns into a dumping ground for everything I don't know what to do with. That will be taken care of THIS YEAR!!

I wish you well in your resolution! I wish me well, too.

Happy New Year
