Well, Okay. Thanks for the Compliment, I Think!

I saw this ad today and it made me laugh. My book, "Quilts from the Selvage Edge" is on sale (only $10.49 and free shipping) at www.createforless.com. This is what the ad copy says:

"...Quilts from the Selvage Edge book - As a
dedicated quilter, do some of your family and friends sometimes think that
you've skated a little too close to the edge and fallen off into the deep end?
With this new book you can make them sure of that fact."
Well, at least we have each other!

Too funny. I wonder if they understand how it sounds. Or how many of us LOVE using selvages, or how GORGEOUS finished selvage quilts can be!

Be assured that you have plenty of company in the deep end of the pool. :)

Okay, that was sort of a back handed compliment. But I definitely think it was meant as a compliment in some form. I have your book and love it! It is creative and fun. I am with Stephanie, looking forward to Feb 16.

They must have sold out of it because I couldn't find it no matter what I searched for.

That's so funny but in a cute way! I've definitely gone off the deep end with quilting :oD I guess I need to make a selvage quilt. All of your inspirational pictures makes me wish I had enough.

LOL. Maybe this reviewer thinks all quilters have fallen off the edge. But it is a review that will catch the attention of many!

My copy is getting worn from all the times I've read it and referred to it. I think I'll buy a new one and get one for my guild too!

I do think their description went a little bit off the edge.

It is definitely a compliment. You have me hooked on selvages....have been working on another project plus talk about them with ladies in my classes, so some of them are saving them. Thanks!

I have no words. They wrote one of the most hysterical things I have read in a long time. You know I love all things selvages, and I thank you daily for leading me to this!!!!!! I started my selvage chair re-do today :)
