Selvage Christmas Tree Tutorial

Here's a tutorial for a selvage Christmas tree wall quilt from Cindy at Live a Colorful Life. There was a giveaway as part of that post, but that was from last year unfortunately. The little star at the top is a button.
This quilt has Christmas-themed selvages. Beautiful!

I like that Christmas tree! It reminds me of a thought that's crossed my mind several times. For a project such or this or where a specific color would be effective, what if one dyed the selvages to be used? Not a heavy dye to hide the words but say a light green in this case for the tree. Perhaps some day I'll give it a try -- in fact, I might decided to do a Christmas tree. If I do it I'll send a photo.

My goodness! The class I attend is having a tree block swap next week and I never thought of making a selvage tree! I like this, thanks for telling us about it, Karen.
