Squam Lake, New Hampshire

This is the view from my sister Eileen's place on Squam Lake. Isn't is breath-taking? We just had a family reunion weekend there. We swam and played games and took a boat ride. It was wonderful. This is the lake where the movie "On Golden Pond" was made. Tomorrow I'll show you a quilt that she made.

What is it about being on the water that just relaxes our senses?
I can't get enough of it!

How inspirational your blog is. Thanks for sharing this beautiful site that is in our country. “I love the USA!”

Lovely. At first, in the thumbnail of it on my blog, I thought perhaps it was a landscape quilt, and the pier was made of selvages. An idea?

I am so jealous, lol. We went paddling there once and would love to rent a place there. Close enough to everything but still quiet and peaceful.
