Red and White Houses

Interestingly, the two red and white house quilts above include a church. The one in the top photo may have been made as a gift to a pastor or a church fund-raiser because it contains many signatures embroidered with very tiny stitches.

The quilt above has very nice quilting. The houses would "read" better if placed on a bed.

White houses on a red background are pretty too.

More red and whites tomorrow.

Hello Karen, the red and whites are gorgeous. I had to make a school house block for a friend but it wasn't easy.. Not sure where I went wrong but in the end I gave her some fabric instead haha..

I'm sure there are many quilters who now have Red & White quilts on their to-do-lists!

I love that quilt with the church in the middle and the houses all round - perhaps they were where the parishioners who signed it lived. As a minister's wife I would be over the moon to receive such a gift!So much love in that quilt :-))

Wasn't it the most amazing show? We loved it! I've posted pics on my blog as well- it's fun to see which ones stood out to you that I may have missed!
