Quilt by Judy Irish

This quilt is called "Hollow Cube" by Judy Irish (pattern by Sara Nephew). I found this on the Blue Nickel Studios blog. Isn't this quilt amazing? It was made from chicken fabrics! Nice job, Judy!

What a complex and interesting design. Really terrific.

I've always wanted to do that pattern. If I put chickens in the boxes, I would call it, "Boxed Lunch"!

I'm so glad she finished it! It's amazing that cubes can look so whimsical.

Gorgeous, love the light play over the surface of this quilt.

HI Karen...suprised to see my chix roosting on your website...your selveges have been an inspiration to me...have been collecting and started one but too busy to finish for now! I think you were going to take a class from me once or we talked when I visited in CT....I lived in New Milford before here in WA....The hollow cubes are not hard, just tedious....lots of cutting and sewing with strips. It is fun to make. Actually I worked on that quilt at Quilter's Corner in New Milford a couple years ago. Keep up all those great selvage quilts....judy irish (Now I am stuck doing lone stars, and have made about 15 different ones.)

I can't even imagine working on this one without getting serious head pain! :)
