Elena's Heart Quilt

Elena McDowell of Raliegh, NC made this happy little quilt for her husband's birthday. I really like the buttons and the echo quilting. The burgundy and teal border is kind of manly, too.

Happy Valentine's Day Eve!

Very cool. I may steal that idea if I may.

Hi Mary,
I think Elena hopes that quilters will be inspired to "steal" her ideas. :)

Oh...I love it...and I'm not above being an idea thief either! Only it won't be for the Hubby or anyone else. This will end up in my sewing room! Thanks for sharing. :)

I LOVE "idea thieves", being one myself on occasion! Stealing an idea from Karen, it's like sliding over in the onion chair and letting someone sit in it with you! (I just got back from a long car trip, so my analogies might be a bit weak...but you get my drift!) Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!

I just happened upon your site. WOW. I can't believe how gorgeous everything is. I haven't quilted in about a year and a half (since becoming a mom), and this might be what I need to get me back into my sewing room. Beautiful, original blog.

Hey, Elena! I just realized that I bought some hot pads from you on ETSY a few months ago....and some note cards with a photo of your beautiful selvage star on the front! Small world!!
