Elena's Tobacco Barn Quilt


Elena McDowell of NC made this wonderful "Tobacco Barns" selvage quilt. I love the roofs, the stones in the sashing and outer border, and the charming "school-house" quilt look. It's light and airy, just like those breezy barns. It's perfect. Great job, Elena!

Karen, You have stimulated so much creativity. I continue to be amazed at how quilters are using selvages. Thank you so much for sparking an interest in using something that we threw away as trash. You should probably get a "green" award or something :-)
