HST Scrap Quilt

Here's another quilt that I made years ago, during my HST* and 1" strip phase.
I'm sure that phase has passed because making that many HSTs doesn't tempt me now.
But I do like the little red frames around the coin border. Not so sure about the yoyos in the corners.

*HST = half square triangles (for you new quilters out there)

Fans in the corners would have been better. I am not grown out of MY HST-period, but use them as elements in bloks.

Love it! The classics are always beautiful, and they stand the test of time well.

Love the quilt...and know what you mean about that small of a block. Its fun to look back at quilts and see the quilts that you would do differently now and the quilts you would not change a thing.

What a pretty quilt! I love the HST's. I've been slowly "collecting" them. I make a few a week, in whatever fabrics I'm using at the time.

This is making me think that I make an album of the photos of all those quilts I've made. It would be fun to go back and look at them.

I love quilts like this....the scrappier the better! What fun to look at the fabrics you had back then, too. Mine are so different from what I buy today! And I love that border on it, too! Awesome!

Love looking at this quilt and others made of HSTs, but making one would have me 'round the bend before it was big enough to be usable.
